Women’s Economy and Gender Support (WEGS) is a women led Organization working in Tanzania to address issues of women, children and marginalized groups to enable them realise good standard of life. It was found in 1998 and registered in Tanzania, under the laws of Non-Government and mandated to work all over the mainland part of the United Republic of Tanzania. WEGS works collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including government entities, civil society organizations, and development partners, to drive meaningful change in the lives of women, children, and marginalized groups.
By adopting a Human Rights-Based Approach (HRBA), the organization ensures that its programs are responsive to the practical and strategic needs of its target groups.
WEGS works on Gender equality, economic resilience and child safeguarding.
