Economic Empowerment

Generally, women are marginalized in terms of access to economic rights and opportunities and their status in the society is very low. They depend on the resources that are owned and controlled by men who also make decision at family and community levels. The benefits that accrue from women’s productivity is controlled by men making women less empowered and dependent. Similarly, the minority groups in the society are excluded in economic sector due resource limitation; ignorance; unfriendly infrastructure and tools; and social-cultural challenges; and they are extremely vulnerable.

We empower women and the marginalized groups to engage, manage and benefit effectively on productive occupations. This involves research on the issues of women and marginalized groups, mobilization and organization, capacity building on entrepreneurship and self-employment, business skills, apprenticeship, introduction financial systems and services and networking.
