Campaign against child abuse

Campaign to end sexual violence against children is an action initiated in 2020 and executed every year to raise awareness on child abuse and insist the key stakeholders to fulfil their role responsibly to ensure protection and welfare of children.

The campaign is aligned to the most popular events which attract attention of children and women especially celebration of the African child 16th June, the 16 days of activism against gender based violence 25th Nov – 10th December, the International women’s day on 8th March.

Children are taught the signs and acts of sexual violence; and emphasized to speak and report any encounter without fear. We use creative approaches to engage them and communicate the message effectively. Follow up activities are done constantly to monitor their responses and outcomes. Supportive actions are implemented to facilitate proper management of the reported incidences.

Parents are sensitized on child safeguarding responsibilities and enlightened on legal procedures and systems against child abuse.

Officials that are involved in prosecution system are insisted to act efficiently for the interest of justice.
