The school campaign outcome

Through our project titled Campaign to End Violence against Children (CEVAC), On Friday 3rd December 2022 our work at Uhuru primary school led to a wonderful action. Immediately after our departure, a class three boy went to the teacher and report about his neighbor at home (a 5 year boy) who is experiencing sexual violence by neighbouring man.

 

Thanks to the teacher who also acted very quickly. The teacher acted immediately and managed to meet the survivor’s mother who confessed his child has a problem.

 

With close follow up and encouragement to the parents, legal procedure was pursued, the offeder was arrested after a successful investigation prosecuted, found guilty and finally sentenced to life imprisonment.
